The short version
- Strictly necessary cookies (language, cookie choice, sign-in, bot protection) always work.
- Google Analytics and Google Ads (Consent Mode v2): in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland they are off until you click “Accept”; in other countries they are on until you turn them off in “Cookie settings”.
- Our own statistics use an anonymous identifier with no name or email.
- You can change your choice at any time via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.
2. How we ask for consent
2.1. On your first visit you see a consent banner. We use Google Consent Mode v2: for visitors from the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, until you choose, all analytics and advertising signals are set to “denied”, so Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies are not set; for visitors from other countries they are on by default and you can turn them off at any time in “Cookie settings”.
2.2. “Reject” is as easy as “Accept”. Rejecting does not limit access to the tools.
3. Strictly necessary (always on)
The website cannot work or protect itself without these, so no consent is needed.
- x2-lang — chosen interface language; 1 year.
- x2-consent — your cookie choice; 1 year.
- Sign-in session cookie — keeps you signed in; until you sign out or the session expires.
- Cloudflare technical cookies (e.g. __cf_bm, cf_clearance) — bot and attack protection; from 30 minutes to 1 year.
- Google cookies on the Google sign-in page — only if you choose that sign-in method; set by Google under its own rules.
4. Preferences
- x2-theme (localStorage) — light or dark theme; kept until you clear site data.
5. Our own statistics
- Anonymous visitor identifier — a random ID we use to count visitors, measure tool popularity and apply free-tier limits. It contains no name or email, is not shared with ad networks and is processed on our servers.
6. Analytics (consent only)
- Google Analytics 4 via Google Tag Manager (_ga, _ga_*) — visit statistics to improve the tools; up to 2 years. Provider: Google.
7. Advertising (consent only)
- Google Ads (_gcl_au and others) — ad measurement and remarketing; up to 90 days. Provider: Google.
8. Changing your choice
8.1. Click “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page and change your choice. Withdrawal applies going forward.
8.2. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block necessary cookies, sign-in and some features may not work.
9. Changes
9.1. If we add new cookie categories that require consent, we will ask for your consent again.
